Hand Cannon

Short-range weapon with spread. Reloads automatically.

Rocket Punch

Hold to charge then release to launch forward and knock an enemy back. Damage increases if the enemy hits a wall.

Seismic Slam

Leap and smash the ground.

Power Block

Protect yourself from frontal attacks. Blocking heavy damage empowers Rocket Punch.

Meteor Strike

Press Q to leap up into the air. Move the targeting circle, then press ABILITY 3 to strike the targeted area.

Doomfist Difficulty - Hard

Relative to all Overwatch 2 heroes, Doomfist is Hard to be effective with.

Doomfist is almost certainly the most difficult Tank hero to play and be effective with in Overwatch 2. Unlike many other tanks, you'll need some practice to learn how to use and combo his abilities to make him an effective choice.

When he was originally launched in OW1, he was a Damage character. Despite his rework, he still plays similarly to heroes in the Damage role. Playing him, you'll mostly be attacking enemy teams backlines, meaning he'll offer less aid to his teammates than other tanks (aside from eliminating enemies).

Doomfist Tier Rating - A-tier

We rate Doomfist as a A-tier Tank hero in the current Overwatch 2 meta (among possible tiers of S, A, B, C, and D).

A skilled Doomfist is an A-tier or even S-tier tank pick. The best Doom players can dominate and singlehandedly take over games in the Tank role.

However, it's very difficult to play Doom effectively. If you cannot get eliminations, stay alive, and be a nuisance as Doomfist, your team will likely struggle. His abilities and play style offer very little protection and help to your squishier teammates. At lower ranks, especially, if you're not able to carry a game as Doom, he's likely a bad pick.
